The Student Volunteer Leadership Committee - Applications are OPEN!
The Student Volunteer Leadership Committee has been set up by the Student Volunteer Centre and has three aims:
1) Representation: To represent the Student Volunteer Centre and increase awareness of student volunteering through campaigning and events.
2) Collaboration: To bring together volunteering societies and projects with common aims to develop new opportunities for students and run/deliver training to students as to how to get the most out of their project/society. To make the volunteering centre a community.
3) Celebration: To help us showcase the success of our students! We host a yearly awards event for students that volunteer, but it would be brilliant to find new and innovative ways to celebrate the success of student volunteers.
We have four different positions you can apply for on the committee. No experience required!
Treasurer (x1): The Treasurer is in charge of the general financial oversight of the committee. They will oversee and present budgets, liaise with staff about financial matters and ensure that the committee keeps up to date records on expenses.
Outreach and Liaison Officer (x2): The Outreach and Liaison Officer will be in charge of contacting our brokerage partners, student-led projects and volunteering societies and other relevant bodies to coordinate events and campaigns.
Events Officer (x2): The Events Officer will be involved in planning and running bespoke events and campaigns.
Publicity Officer (x2): The Publicity Officer will be ensuring that student volunteering becomes the talk of the town! This may involve talking to URN, Impact or NSTV about volunteering but can also involve writing blogs and even contacting local media to showcase how fantastic our students are.
To register your interest fill out an application form or email Lucy, applications will close on Thursday 5th May at 5pm. Interviews dates TBA.
