Hope House is based in Beeston and has become a one-stop community support centre, working in partnership with many local agencies, to provide a place of trust and transformation for local people. Hope also supports many neighbourhood Foodbanks across the city, helping people out of crisis and directing people to life-changing support. Hope is a Christian charity, working with local churches and community groups to serve those in need in neighbourhoods all around Nottingham.
Hope House in Beeston are looking for volunteers for a variety of roles to support their ongoing campaigns. They need volunteers who have a passion for helping and supporting the local and wider community. Good interpersonal skills would be helpful as well as enjoying working as part of a team.
Current options include:
Drop-In Café/Foodbank – welcoming, chatting & befriending, cooking breakfasts and serving hot drinks; sorting donations and making up Foodbank parcels
Abundance Café – preparing lunches; serving food & drinks; clearing away;
Job Search Club – supporting guests who need to update CVs & search online for jobs
Literacy Group – supporting adults with creative writing, basic literacy/numeracy, and improving their English
Computer Club – learning basic computer skills.
2hrs/week for at least half a year (one academic term)

2)Next you will be invited to visit, have a look around and meet the team and will begin the application process depending on what you get involved with.
Building up of new skills, or enhancing existing skills, working with people from differing backgrounds.
