Due to the current corona virus (COVID-19) pandemic Headway Nottingham have suspended all volunteering recruitment until further notice.
Headway Nottingham is a charity providing support and long term rehabilitation for people who have sustained a brain injury and for their carers. They run a day centre where the service users gather to take part in workshops, activities, sports and trips out into the community; all the while interacting and getting to know others who have similar problems after brain injury.
About your role
Headway Nottingham wants volunteers to help staff support people with brain injuries. This could be assisting in one of their workshops such as therapeutic art, creative writing, mood management, cognitive workshop, planning and organisation, understanding brain injury and more.
3 hours a week for at least 3 months. You cannot volunteer at the weekend or in the evening. You can go and have a look around before you commit to volunteering.
