Futures deliver Mock Interview Skills and Employability days in local secondary schools. These events help pupils to develop their interview and generic employability skills and their own personal skills in leadership, team management, communication, problem solving and decision making. The format of the activities is either a ‘Mock Interview’ with the volunteer providing students with a 20 minute mock interview experience or delivering a workshop related to an employability skill using interactive activities to develop awareness of skills such as communication and team building

Come along and help us on a full activity day in Secondary Schools. Volunteers either undertake the role of an employer and provide a ‘mock interview’, or help to encourage discussion amongst the groups of pupils in a workshop so they get the most out of the different tasks; this does involve preparing the content for the workshop presentation/activity and would be especially beneficial for students on Teacher Training courses. Futures want volunteers from University to be involved as great role models to raise school pupils' aspirations

Minimum of one full day (8.30am-4.30pm), or go along to as many days as you want
