The Friends of Wollaton Park is an established project set up by local residents who love Wollaton Hall and Deer Park and they regularly help the Council Park Rangers with conservation volunteering.
To add to this great volunteering opportunity, Wollaton Hall is a spectacular Elizabethan Manor with surrounding Deer park and gardens - which is a lovely place to visit and a great view whilst volunteering, it was also used as Wayne Manor in the Batman film 'The Dark Knight Rises'.
They are a friendly bunch that meet in Wollaton Park for Group Task Days every third Saturday and last Thursday of every month from 10am- 12pm
They have lots of activities all year round you can get involved in; including, woodland management in their wildlife nature reserves, historic tours of the park, bat box making and other activities to keep the ground looking nice for visitors’ to enjoy.
Go along to one session or help as often as you want
Wollaton Hall and Deer Park is right next door to University Park and Jubilee Campus and takes about 15 minutes to walk there
