CHICKS provide week long respite breaks for disadvantaged children from across the UK, who would not otherwise have a holiday and be able to express themselves in a fun and stress-free environment. The children they support come from a variety of backgrounds – those living in poverty, children that are being neglected or abused, children who have lost parents or even children who are full time young carers.

As a volunteer you will be an important part of the CHICKS team to provide each child with the chance to have fun and leave the worries and stresses of everyday life behind.

The role involves spending a week at a residential camp with the children, helping with the daily running of the camp, and being a positive role model as well as encouraging them to get involved in a wide range of activities; allowing them to develop, gain confidence and experience new challenges as well as having a memorable holiday!

5 days at a residential camp. The breaks run throughout March - December.

CHICKS have 2 retreats in the South West of England
