The British Science Association is a registered charity that exists to advance the public understanding and accessibility of the sciences and engineering in the UK. This includes coordinating National Science and Engineering Week and organising and funding science events for schools and the local community.
Nottinghamshire British Science Association organise many events as a Committee including; the award winning annual Science in the Park event at Wollaton Park, a science lecture series, National Science & Engineering Week and an annual Science Pub Quiz to help raise funds for these events and promote the group.
As a member of the team you can help to create these regular events and even develop new ideas for science and engineering events and then help bring your ideas to life! You can be involved in a wide range of project management and event management tasks including; collaborating with local and national organisations, recruiting speakers, recruiting volunteers, developing science activities for use at events, managing volunteers, applying for grants or marketing and updating websites.
