My Sight Nottinghamshire is the only charity dedicated exclusively to improving the lives of people living with sight loss in Nottinghamshire. We provide support services, leisure opportunities, information and advice to thousands of local visually impaired people and their families.

We believe that no one should have to face sight loss alone and unsupported and that is why we are determined to work towards a world in which blind and partially sighted people of all ages have access to the same opportunities as everyone else. We work with individuals to ensure they achieve their own unique goals and enjoy a full and independent life beyond sight loss.

My Sight has a variety of roles you can get involved in, from being a sighted Guide on Day trips and social events to matching you one to one to help a visually imparied person access everyday tasks. They also have roles for Home visiting to help isolated blind and visually impaired people, as well as getting involved in sports activities, arts & crafts or computer tutoring with people of all ages. Fundraising Volunteers help raise valuble funds to support the charity. They have specialised Hospital Volunteers to offer emotional support and advice to people affected with sight loss.

For all the roles you will receive support and training.

Commitment varies for each role. My Sight will work with you to find a role to suit your commitment level and this could be anything from 1 term to 1 or 2 full academic years

.

My Sight Nottingham is based in Radford, home visiting and sighted guiding roles take place in various locations across Nottinghamshire.
