The UoN Dodgeball club have been running the DiSCO project since 2009 – going in to schools and community groups to teach children, of a wide range of ages and abilities, to play Dodgeball! This encourages children to stay active and also get involved in a new sport.

This is your chance to get involved with one of the UK's fastest growing sports. We're looking for volunteers to help us run dodgeball sessions in local schools to help promote keeping fit and healthy and to raise the profile of the sport in the local area.

No previous experience of dodgeball is necessary so don't worry if you haven't played before; the Dodgeball Club will provide all the necessary support and training. You just need an enthusiasm for working with children.

1 - 2 hours per week for 6 weeks

DiSCO run Dodgeball sessions at a variety of schools across Nottingham, full location details will be provided and they aime to find the best school location to suit you

1) Click on the 'Register Your Interest' button to contact the SVC for more details

2) The SVC will send you the contact details for the DiSCO leaders – contact them and they will send you more information about the project and any upcoming dates of the sessions in schools you can volunteer at

The DiSCO Leaders are really enthusiastic about the project and want to let everyone know that you can get involved in this project even if you have no experience of playing Dodgeball! - some of the Leaders didn't know how to play Dodgeball when they first started Volunteering with DiSCO, they just gave it a try and enjoyed working with children at the schools.

DiSCO offer volunteers the chance to gain a Level 2 Coaching Qualification from the UK Dodgeball Association
