John Clifford is a community school of great diversity of pupils of all abilities from a range of backgrounds and cultures. Our pupils range from 3-11. At the heart of the school is the individual and the individual is the heart of the school. It is an extremely inclusive school with diversity a strong feature of our context. 50% of our families belong to an ethnic minority and many children learn English as an additional language.

 

We welcome all volunteers to get involved in a 'classroom assistant' role

This can involve:

o reading

o maths

o group work

o music

o art and craft activities

Volunteering can be at any time between 9am-12pm and 1-3.25pm.

We are looking for volunteers to commit to at least one term.

- You will then be asked to come in for an informal meeting, you will have a tour around the school and an induction and will help you find a role suitable for you within the school.

Whn you email the Head please provide as much info as possible re: availabilty and interests and he will invite you into the school for an informal discussion.
