Who can come to Varsity?

Students, Friends, Family, Staff Members and Alumni from both Universities can come to Varsity.

How and when can I buy my tickets?

Tickets will be available to buy from midday on Monday 12 March 2018. You can purchase tickets online through the SU website and at the SU reception in the Welcome Zone, Portland Building. Tickets for Ice Hockey will only be available online.

If tickets are still available on the day for any events, which we can’t guarantee due to demand, tickets will also be sold on the doors at venues before games begin.

How and when can I collect my tickets?

Tickets will be available to collect from your Students’ Union reception in the Welcome Zone, Portland Building, from 10am on Tuesday 13 March 2018.

Do I need to bring ID with me to the events?

Yes, you may be asked to provide your student and/or photo age ID at the events, so please make sure you have these on you at all times.

Can I use my e-ticket or online ticket receipt for entry?

No, you must redeem your e-ticket or online ticket receipt for physical tickets at your Students’ Union. E-tickets and online ticket receipts will not be accepted at any Varsity venues.

What happens if I’ve lost a ticket?

Sorry but we do not take responsibility for lost tickets, please keep your tickets safe.

Can I get a refund on my ticket?

No, unfortunately, Varsity tickets are non-refundable.

How can I get to the Venues?

There will be buses available for some events. Please check back for more information on buses coming soon.

Terms and Conditions


Tickets for Varsity events MUST be collected from the Students’ Union, Reception B Floor of the Portland Building from 10am on Tuesday 13 March 2018. You have until the day before each event to collect your ticket.

Please bring your purchase confirmation (either printed or on a mobile device) and ID with you to collect your tickets.


You will need to bring the physical entry ticket to all ticketed Varsity events.

ID required for entry

You may be asked for ID to confirm you are the ticket purchaser when entering a venue.

No food or drink will be allowed through entry points and your bags may be searched.

Rights of admission reserved by venue management.


This year there will be no season tickets available. Each event has its own individual ticket to ensure that sell out events can be fully attended instead of seats being reserved for season ticket holders

On the door ticket sales are not guaranteed but will be available providing the venue is not at capacity from advance online sales

Alcohol restrictions have been put in place for some events. See individual event descriptions before buying tickets for specific details.

We have avoided reserving seats so you can sit where you like but please be considerate and don’t leave gaps between seats.

Tickets are non-refundable.
