NSTV is the multi-award winning TV station within the University of Nottingham Students’ Union. With 4 channels providing a wide range of coverage, NSTV is a media group run by students, for students.

What can I get involved with?

NSTV's 4 channels have something to offer for everyone, as well as various opportunities from script-writing and editing to presenting and interviewing.

From our Culture channel as a hub for music, fashion, food and art with popular programmes like Backstage at the Nottingham New Theatre, to our Sports channel covering all sporting events in and around Nottingham including one of the University of Nottingham's biggest events, the Charity Varsity Series, there are various ways for everyone to get involved in the University of Nottingham's Student TV Station.

Along with Culture and Sports, our Entertainment channel offers everything from scripted drama to reality shows and comedies, and News & Features is Nottingham students' source of campus news, elections coverage and documentaries surrounding student issues in Nottingham.

Why should I get involved?

Since 2010 NSTV has won a variety of awards at the National Student Television Association Awards, including Best Broadcaster, Best Animation, and the 'Most Insanely High on Life' Award, so get involved!

There are loads of different ways to get involved: filming, presenting, editing, producing, writing, directing, acting, publicising, anything you want! We offer training in every aspect of TV production, including live broadcasting which you can get started with from Welcome Week! We have industry-standard equipment and offer training on every aspect of production, so why not?

How do I become part of the NSTV crew?

If you want to get involved (no experience required), just come and see us in our office which is located in the Portland Building on University Park Campus, C Floor, room C53, or email

You can also join our Facebook page, check out our YouTube channel, or like our Twitter and Instagram for information and videos from NSTV!
