Triathlon

About us: At the University of Nottingham Triathlon Club, we are a friendly and social club with over 100 athletes of all abilities. We encourage newbies and novices to come and train with us, as well as seasoned or talented athletes who we encourage to try out for our performance squad.

Membership costs £45 for the year, or £25 a term. You also need to be a paid UoN Sport member. In return for this you'll have access to up to 13 training sessions per week, covering all three disciplines: swimming, cycling, and running. Other fitness sessions include circuits, strength and conditioning, and Yoga. You can find out more about our training timetable here. Furthermore, 6 extra exclusive sessions a week are available for our performance squad atheletes, for an added £45 extra added onto the membership fee - which includes one to one coaching, personal development programmes and much more. Once you are a member of the club, you will be trained by high level coaches and have the opportunity to be involved in BUCs races. You’ll also have access to unique opportunities such as velodrome use, bike maintenance classes, sports science workshops, loaned use of a road bike, and filmed swim analysis.

We have two annual training camps to the Peak District in Autumn and Majorca in the Easter holidays. Amongst all the training we also find the time for fortnightly socials, including meals, trips, drinks, BBQ’s, fancy dress nights, and of course Wednesday nights at Crisis!

Events and Races: We have 3 BUCs races throughout the year with a maximum of 15 free places for athletes we believe are really progressing within the sport. However, you can still enter into BUCs races and compete for the club provided you pay for yourself, it's fantastic to experience a triathlon with a friendly team around you to cheer you on! Other races we enter together as a club include the Ed Prickett Memorial Relays and the National Club Relays.

Last but not least, we also host our very own Notts Triathlon right here on University Park campus, which is heavily subsidised to all our athletes. The event is organised entirely by members and offers students the chance to get involved in event planning, marketing and customer services. Check it out at http://nottstriathlon.com/.

Engage Sessions: Open to staff and students. Follow the link to find out more and to sign up for sessions http://www.uontri.com/engage-signup/.

Interested in joining? Sign up now! You can buy your £45 annual membership online at our Students' Union page here. If you want to find out more, we are hosting an Introduction to Triathlon talk on Saturday 29th Sep, 12-1pm in the DRSV Conference room (meet in DRSV entrance). Come along and say hello to our committee and coaches who will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
