The Swimming Club caters for all abilities. Whether you are interested in joining our successful competitive team, or just fancy a dip to get fit, we have something for you! We encourage all members to come along to our regular socials at local bars and clubs, as well as other varied events throughout the year including meals out and friendly competitions.

We have three tiers of membership, which, once paid, are valid for the whole year:

Sutton Bonnington: £30 - Gives access to Sutton Bonnington led sessions at East Leake Leisure Centre.

Social: £35 - Access to two coached sessions a week with coaching in a relaxed environment, with no obligation to compete.

Competitive: £70 - Access to all 5 sessions for swimmers who have competed at a regional level (or higher) who want to represent the university at inter-university galas, BUCS competitions and external galas. ASA registration with the club is also available with this membership.

All sessions are aimed at those who can already swim. These are not swimming lessons!

If you wish to move up a membership tier, for example from social to competitive, then all you need to do is pay the difference between the two - for example, from social to competitive, £35.

All prices include insurance, entry to competitions (BUCS and friendlies) and socials and a well-qualified coaching team. The competitive membership also includes Swim England membership fees. Our coaching staff include UoN coaches working alongside Nova Centurion coaches for some sessions: together they are qualified to teach complete beginners, right through to top-level elite athletes.

All training takes place on University Park campus pool (unless otherwise specified) at the following times:

Monday : 18.00-19:00 (Competitive)

19:30-20:30 (Sutton Bonnington) - East Leake Leisure Centre

Tuesday: 20:00 - 21:00 (Social and Competitive)

Wednesday: 15:30 - 17:00 (Competitive)

Thursday: 17:30 - 19:00 (Competitive)

Sunday 15:00 - 16:00 (Social and Competitive)

Strength and Conditioning Training - Wednesday: 17.30 - 18:30 (Selected Swimmers)
