Nottingham Squash is one of the most vibrant clubs at the University. In 2017/2018 the club won performance club of the year and was nominated for team of the year. We take pride in welcoming new members into a friendly, sociable and enthusiastic atmosphere. The club operates 6 men’s teams and 5 ladies teams in the BUCS competitions and local Nottinghamshire leagues. Members of the club also compete in the BUCS Individuals tournament as well as international PSA tournaments.
The season 2018/19 is set to be even more exciting and successful. Our players all enjoy having the opportunity to play on our 6 brand new ASB glass back squash courts and 1 all-glass court at our brand new David Ross sports complex.

There is a weekly club day which involves coaching and match play for beginner and intermediate players, rackets and balls are available for new-comers. Also, the popular IMS box-leagues and ladder competitions allow students to compete competitively against players of their own standard. There are also a few tournaments for non-team members such as The Big Hit tournament first ran in 2012. There are numerous socials throughout the year and an annual tour to a popular European city during Easter break or summer holidays.

ACCESS TO COACHING FOR TEAM PLAYERS
Team players will have access to weekly coaching with one of our coaches as well as weekly squad training sessions. To cover some of the costs, the club may ask that all team players pay a small sum of £25 on top of the regular membership, which can be paid online on the left side of this page. Considering a single session with a coach can cost from £15-£35 an hour this is a brilliant deal! For more information regarding coaching structure and team training, please contact Emily Richardson (firstname.lastname@example.org).
IMS BOX LEAGUES - Please email Alex Wood (email@example.com) stating your ability and contact details. You will be put into a group with 5 or 6 other players of similar ability and you arrange to play them in your own time and send the result to Hannah. If you win most of your games then you'll be promoted and the challenge is to work your way to the top of the tree! Box leagues are for IMS squash members only.
CLUB DAY – 1pm - 3pm every Sunday (starting 16th October) at DRSV. Coaching will be available. The sessions on the 9th will run as a taster session - if you are thinking of joining the squash club then this session is for you! See our website for more details. Club day is for social members only.
ENGAGE SESSION – 6:30pm - 7:30pm every Tuesday at David Ross Sports Village. No membership required, no hassle, just turn up and play!
SOCIALS – We all enjoy a night out to CRISIS and have numerous meals throughout the year. There are also some ‘playing’ socials with matches organised against the Alumni. We also have an annual doubles tournament, followed by a dinner and a night out. These socials are a fantastic way to meet everyone and get to know other members that little bit more!
UNSPSC - If you are a post-grad or member of staff, check out the University of Nottingham Staff and Postgraduate Squash Club. Post-graduates are welcome to join the Squash Club and are also invited to try out for the team.
