Welcome to the University of Nottingham Shooting Club
Originally a society from Sutton Bonington we are now a fully affiliated University of Nottingham Sport. We shoot at BUCS each year (the university championships) where the ladies team have previously finished first and the mens team third.
In addition to BUCS, we enter many other competitions against other universities all across the country; during the competitions we have frequently finished in the top three, with individual members often placing in the top three too! Thanks to our success, we are now sponsored by Orston Shooting Ground run by Daniel and Emily Martin.
As well as a team for those who have shot a lot before, we also cater for those who have shot a little/ have shot with our beginners section before. This side of the team shoot every other week at Orston with our DryFire coach Andrea Pinnock.
We are not just a club for those have shot before as we also run lessons for those who have never shot before. You do not need to be a member of the club to try these sessions or regularly attend them. The beginners' sessions run on a four week cycle, with one simulated session with our DryFire system and three live shooting sessions at Orston Shooting Ground. All four sessions are coached by Andrea Pinnock.
Membership is only £15 a year, this allows you to train with us and to come along to the socials we host. Shooting is a costly sport but our aim is to make shooting as accessible as possible to all!
Whether you have never shot before or have lots of experience the club has something to offer you, so what's stopping you?
