Rambling & Hiking
We tend to walk on term-time Sundays (exam periods are free for revision). Most walks are to various areas of the Peak District, with a few exceptions, such as The Cotswolds and Sherwood Forest (home of Robin Hood!).
Engage and Inclusive Walks
Several times a year, we run special inclusive walks for people who may not have done much sport before, or have certain health conditions. These are not shown in the calendar below, but are always advertised in our Weekly emails and on Facebook (our own page, Freshers, UoN Engage, etc).
Socials are held on Wednesdays, normally starting at 7:30-8pm, but this can vary depending on the nature of the event. See the calendar below for the Social schedule this year.
During weekends away we stay at reputable youth hostels, and there are always a range of walks to choose from, varying in intensity, route type, and length. We leave Nottingham on Friday around 5pm, (stopping for dinner at a service station) and return on Sunday around10pm at the latest, (though this time is always subject to the whims of the traffic gods)... Weekends away shown in bold.
If we ever move any of the events, we will always let you know ??
