Welcome to the University of Nottingham Lifesaving Club!
Welcome to the SU page of one of the friendliest clubs on campus! Our club is open to anyone, whether you're an experienced Lifesaver or someone who never even realised it was even a sport! We train three times a week and compete nationally in the BULSCA league against other Universities around the country.
What is lifesaving? I hear you say. Lifesaving involves swimming and first aid and is completely different from any other sports club.
Our competitions test fitness, rescue and first aid skills and what's great is it's not just about physical aptitude - it's also about the ability to prioritise, adapt and show initiative.
We are a sociable club and compete at weekends in mixed teams of 4 at Universities across the country including in Sheffield, Warwick, Birmingham and Southampton after which are amazing socials, which are great for getting to know fellow lifesavers from all over the country. We also hold a mix of socials throughout the year.
Our usual training times are:
5-6:30 DRSV Studio 1
6:30-8 UoN Swimming Pool
7-8 UoN Swiimming Pool
3:30-4:30 UoN Swimming pool
5-6 DRSV Studio 1
It's only £20 to join the club for the whole year!
(Uon Sports membership is also required so you can use the pool and the David Ross Sports Village).
