The Men’s Lacrosse club is a well established club at the University. We have four teams playing in BUCS competitions to cater for all abilities. The 1st team plays in the BUCS Premiership and is one of the best University sides in the country. The 2nd team consists of more experienced players. The 3rd and 4th teams are generally made up of players that started the sport at University.
We train between 2 and 4 times a week depending on which team you are in, with trainings in the evening. There are also Strength and Conditioning trainings which are compulsory for the 1st team and optional for the others.
Lacrosse is one of the few clubs to run its social calendar as the Men’s and Women’s clubs combined. This creates great opportunities to meet other members across all years and become part of a friendly, lively network that is already in place. Socials are every Wednesday night, to celebrate a win or forget about a loss, but due to the large mixed turnout they are always nights to remember. As well as regular socials the Men's and Women's clubs come together for various formal events throughout the year. We also organise regular trips to watch the mighty Coventry Lacrosse together as a team.
Each year at Easter the entire men’s and women’s Lacrosse section goes on tour together. This is something every person must experience and guarantees memories you will never forget with your team mates. Recent locations include Croatia, Spain and Somalia.
As well as competing seperately the men's and women's clubs combine to field a mixed Lacrosse squad most weeks. This culminates in an incredible weekend playing away in Liverpool which is definitely something not to be missed.
