Judo is an Olympic sport and martial art which uses throws, locks, pins and chokes to disable an opponent. An exciting club with an inclusive atmosphere, we cater for anyone from beginner to performance players.    

Training

We train in the Dojo in the David Ross Sports Village, these details are accurate for the 2017/18 year. Any changes to this will be posted on our Facebook page.

Starting Judo

Feel free to come along to any of our sessions, beginners are always welcome! Please wear a t-shirt and leggings or tracksuit bottoms and we will provide you with a uniform to wear until you’re ready to purchase your own.

If you’re starting Judo for the first time or haven’t held a BJA licence for more than 2 years then you can register for the student voucher scheme where you will receive a uniform, grading, and insurance all for £20. If you are interested in signing up to the Student Voucher Scheme, please fill in this form: http://www.britishjudo.org.uk/clubs/my-club/initiatives-and-programmes/svs/student-voucher-scheme/.

Paying for Sessions

You can pay for training in cash when you arrive at £2.50 per session, alternatively have a look at the “pay for sessions here” tab for great savings on paying for sessions in advance.
