"Futsal will always be my first love." - Ronaldo
Futsal is the internationally recognised version of 5-a-side football played with handball sized goals and a slightly smaller ball with reduced bounce. It is run by FIFA internationally and the FA in England. It is credited with helping to develop the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Andres Iniesta, Ronaldinho and Leo Messi. It is fast paced, full of flair and requires extremely quick decision making ability.
Our Men's Futsal teams represent the university and the county in a range of competitions. The club consists of three squads: the performance squad, the development squad and the reserve squad.
The performance squad competes in the FA Super League North, which is the highest level of English Futsal. As well as this, they also compete in BUCS and the FA Cup. Our development squad consists of a number of teams that compete at various levels in BUCS and the FA Cup. Our reserve squad compete in BUCS as well as the Intra-Mural Sport Futsal league that is run by the university.
The FA Super League is the highest standard of futsal in the country and is run by the FA. It is the main source of players for the England national team and find itself the host for a number of international players from around the world. BUCS is the highest standard of university competition in the country.

Our Women's Futsal sides will consist of three teams in 2015/116. These teams will be run in partnership with UoNWFC (Nottingham University Women's Football Club). If you are interested in playing football/futsal at the university, please email either club for more information.
Our Social Futsal arm consists of all futsal that is not covered by the above.
We run regular tournament days throughout the year (on average once a term). These are for groups of friends, society teams and fresher hall teams. These tournament days are run in partnership with the university's IMS (Intra-Mural Sport) program. Details of these tournaments are released throughout the year.
We also run weekly casual 'turn up and play' sessions in partnership with the Nu2 Sport program. These casual sessions allow people to turn up and join a team and enjoy futsal in a pressure free and fun environment.
For those interested in either of the above, it is advised they keep an eye on our Facebook page as we release more details.
