Engage Track Cycling 2018

It's been hyped all term but now, back again and all new for 2018 is UoN Cycling's Track Engage! Fancy yourself as the next Laura Trott or Chris Hoy? Enjoy cycling but hate the cold UK weather? No matter the reason, come along and give Track a go!

Leaving Portland Steps at 11:30 on Wednesday 31st of January, to head to Derby Velodrome for a custom 2 hour Engage session.  The session will cost £10 and include transport.

Everything you need to take part is included, Bike Hire, Helmet, Shoes, etc. All you need to bring are clothes appropriate for sport (Should be close fitting, sports tops, gym leggings/shorts etc) and a water bottle.

The session will take about 2 hours, and start with the basics of how to ride a track bike, then how to get onto and ride around the track, and finally start to work on your track coordination! It'll be a session that will challenge and, hopefully, engage you. Anyone is welcome to attend, you don't need to be a member, however the ability to ride a bike is necessary.

If you successfully complete the session, you will be granted Stage 1 Accreditation, meaning you are on the way to being a fully qualified track rider!

As the price to run the session regardless of the number of attendees is fixed, the running of this session is dependent on filling the space. Once we have 16 confirmed and paid attendees, you will be notified that the session will run, and be given further information regarding arrangements. If after paying, you discover that you cannot make a session, a refund will only be given if the space can be filled.

If in the unlikely event that the velodrome is double booked, a different date will be offered and if you are unable to make that, a refund will be given.
