Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) is a ground fighting and grappling martial art which focuses on precision and technique to submit an opponent; rather than just brute strength. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is therefore useful for all sizes and genders, and we welcome all skill levels.

Taster sessions:

If you have never tried Brazilian Jiu Jitsu before you can attend one session for free to check us out, all are welcome –it doesn’t matter if you’ve never been part of a martial art before!

We are hosting  taster session for anyone who’d like to try BJJ on Wednesday 26th September,18.00-20.00, and Monday 1st October 20.30-22.30, in the David Ross Sports Centre - Dojo

This is free-of-charge and all are welcome –it doesn’t matter if you’ve never done BJJ before!


Membership fees for our club are £10 for the 18/19 academic year, and training will cost £2-3 a session with session packs available. 

Please note, that UoN sports and fitness membership is also required to be part of our club. Early Bird membership is available until 5 October and for £209 includes the following:

* Access to the new £40 million David Ross Sports Village

* Three fully-equipped fitness suites

* Over a hundred weekly group exercise classes

* 25m pool
