Gaelic Football (Men's)

Welcome to the University of Nottingham Gaelic Football Club.

Gaelic Football is a fast, rough and exciting sport, relying on a skilful combination of kicking and handling. Our club has just enjoyed a successful year, finishing second in the BUCS Midlands North League and making the quarter finals of the BUGAA Division 1 National Championships. We also have close links with the local GAA club in Nottingham, St Barnabas GAC. We always welcome new players of all abilities… so get involved!

Welcome 2017

You can find us at the Welcome Fair on Monday 25 September and Tuesday 26 September at the David Ross Sports Village. For more details visit:

You can also find out about all sport activities during Welcome Week at

Taster Sessions:

We are hosting two taster sessions for anyone who’d like to try Gaelic Football. The first session will be held on the David Ross Sports Village 3G Pitch on Thursday 28th September 3-4 pm, with the second session running on Saturday 30th September 2-3pm, also on the David Ross Sports Village 3G Pitch.

These sessions are free of charge and all are welcome –it doesn’t matter if you’ve never played before – almost half of our new members last year had never played Gaelic Football before so come along and have a go!
