Women's Network

If you've watched our EDI video you may want to find out more about some of things we talked about. Below is some information and some relevant links.

Ask for Angela

Ask for Angela is a scheme that allows anyone who feels uncomfortable or unsafe while in a bar or a club to ask for help from staff. Staff can then offer assistance, whether that's calling a taxi, calling a friend, or even calling the police. We are currently encouraging Mooch to introduce the initiative, and we will then be speaking to the hall bars about introducing it too. More information about the scheme can be found here: http://news.met.police.uk/news/ask-for-angela-initiative-launched-229468

Safe Gigs For Women

Safe Gigs for Women is a fantastic charity working to ensure that women can attend gigs without being subjected to harassment, both verbal and physical. We are currently working with them to organise a joint fundraising and awareness event, so keep an eye out for that! https://sgfw.org.uk/

Pregnancy and childcare policy

We want to make sure that all students get the most out of their studies, including those who are pregnant or caring for young children. We have launched a survey to find out more about the experiences of these students at the university, and we will be working with the university to ensure that any changes that need to be made can be made. Find the survey here:
