2017-2018 Campaigns

Pregnancy and childcare at university

This year, we are running a campaign looking at the difficulties faced by students at the university who are pregnant or caring for young children. At the moment we are running a survey to gather as much detail as possible about these issues, before taking it to the appropriate people who can bring about change in this area. Fill in the survey below, and don't hesitate to get in touch if you want to be involved!

Previous Campaigns

Street Lighting on Campus

In 2015 the Women's Network heard your requests for more street lighting on campus and we can successfully say that we have been able to secure more street lighting to make students feel safer!

Women in Leadership

Throughout the year we have been speaking to women students about the barriers they face in running for positions of leadership at university. We believe that the leadership in universities is a reflection of future society and we are aiming towards a gender-equal one, therefore we want to encourage women to run for important positions in the university sphere. We want to inspire women students by showing them some of the incredible women we already have in important positions at the university so we interviewed them for a video which you can see here:

HeForShe at UoN

This year, together with the Univeristy and the Student Union, the Women's Network is involved with the worldwide campaign HeForShe to support everyone's fight for gender equality.
