Anti-Slavery Society

Hundred of thousands of people are trafficked and enslaved across the world every year. Anti Slavery Society is a group of students who believe that this is wrong.

Our aim: to spread awareness across campus and campaign for the freedom of people that are in slavery. We want our students to know that trafficking happens on our doorstep, as well as other countries.

Why join? If you believe in the freedom of all people, join us in raising awareness throughout the university and collaborating with researchers at our university. We provide information, a place to discuss and practical ways for you to change what is happening.

What else? In previous years we've had live music fundraisers, a Clothes Swap, photo shoot, film screenings, chocolate fondue parties and petitions. This year we are planning more campaigns and exciting events to raise awareness of human trafficking and make the university slave-free, as well as collaborating with other societies to achieve our aims.

Keep an eye on our Facebook page so you know what's coming up - we update regularly with all our events - and promote events you may enjoy throughout the city! Check out our Instagram and Twitter too!
