Sign Language

Welcome to The University of Nottingham’s SIGN SOC!

Fancy chatting without saying a single word? Ever been curious about Sign Language? Then we are the society for you!

SIGN SOC is a brand new society that offers a friendly social way to have fun while picking up new skills along the way. We aim to promote the use and knowledge of British Sign Language, not only to provide a new means of communication but also to raise awareness of the Deaf Community.

No prior knowledge of Sign Language is required to join, as we run informal, student-led lessons where anyone can learn different topics in British Sign Language, practice what they know and meet others in the society.

Sessions will take place on Tuesdays, 7:00 - 8:00pm, Clive Granger Building A41.

Classes are only £1 for members and £2 for non-members!
