The UoN LGBT+ Network is a University of Nottingham Students' Union Network run by unpaid student volunteers in their spare time, alongside their courses at university.
We exist in order to represent all students studying at UoN who self-identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transsexual, queer, questioning or asexual, as well as those who are undecided about their gender or sexual orientation. We also speak for anyone who experiences any sort of homophobia, biphobia and/or transphobia for not fitting into heteronormative society.
As a Student Union Network, it is our aim to always be representing the voice of the UoN LGBT+ population as best as we can, and to defend and extend the rights of those within our remit within the university.
For more information, please feel free to consult our Network constitution, available here.
Membership to the LGBT+ Network is completely free! You can gain official SU membership by logging in and adding it to your basket - this will add you to the private mailing list and allow you to vote in any Network elections. Your position as a member will always be entirely confidential.
Our committee operate via three main roles, which are in place to provide welfare via giving support and information, to run campaigns on issues affecting our members and to organise a range of social events and activities!
