Welcome to The University of Nottingham Alternative Film Society, Dark Celluloid.
We screen a film every Sunday in Hallward Library Screening Room at 7PM. As the alternate film society, our aim is to show a diversity of films representing a wide range of genres, counties of origin and release dates. Or, more simply put, we hope to introduce our members to films that they maybe haven't heard of before.
We also provide a friendly and lively film community, and an opportunity for film discussion accessible to any and all film fans (not just for film-buffs!). After our screenings, we host is a small, informal social, usually at the student bar, Mooch. This where you get a chance to have a chat about all things film and non-film related.
Film screenings are free for members and £1 for non-members. Membership for the whole year is just £3.
