Blowsoc Tour!

First, have a watch of how much fun the best week of the Blowsoc calendar is:

Note from the Tour Manager...

Hello! My name is Tom and I’m this year’s Blowsoc Tour Manager.

I am excited to announce that this year’s tour will be based in Berlin. It has been several years since Blowsoc last visited Berlin, and I’m sure that this will be one of the biggest and most exciting tours to date!

For those of you who don’t know what our tour involves, every year we go somewhere in Europe, playing three or four concerts whilst we’re out there. Last year, we took the society’s Brass Band for the first time, and I’m really excited about having them come for a second year running. As well as concerts, the week will be full of opportunities for you to explore Berlin in your free time, as well as group visits to some of the main attractions in Berlin, and a day out in Leipzig. From the museums to the nightlife, I can assure you that there will be something for everyone on our tour to Berlin!

Can’t decide? Don’t worry – you won’t be the only one who is unsure about going on tour! I hardly knew anyone before signing up to go on tour in my first year, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions I made during my time at Nottingham. Tour gives you the opportunity to make friends with so many people that you might not normally have the chance to spend time with. Even if you’re only in one ensemble, like I was in first year, there are plenty of opportunities to socialise with like-minded people through the society’s social calendar, including pre-tour socials. Even if you’re just thinking about coming on tour, I can’t recommend it enough, and I guarantee you will have one of the best weeks of your Uni experience.

As well as the great social aspect of tour, you also get the added bonus of being able to perform in some really exciting venues in and around Berlin! A city known for its diverse culture, Berlin really is the ideal location for this year’s tour, and we hope to see as many of you there as possible. We’ll spend the week staying in the Mitte district in the centre of Berlin, ensuring that you are close to everything the city has to offer!

If you have any questions regarding tour, Blowsoc or anything else, feel free to contact me on Facebook or at I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible in Berlin!
