Gilbert and Sullivan

The Gilbert and Sullivan Society is a friendly and welcoming community, meeting weekly on Monday and Thursday evenings for rehearsals. We put on one show a year: a large scale production, performed in the Spring term, which is always a Gilbert and Sullivan opera (this year we're performing Iolanthe). We also have multiple showcases and social events throughout the year, offering our members many performance and social opportunities.
Everyone is welcome to participate in our show as part of the unauditioned chorus, whatever your skill level and experience. Auditions for cast roles are held in mid-October for those wishing to have a bigger part in the show. Not a singer? No problem! We are also looking for members to be part of the orchestra, back-stage and front-of-house crews.
Membership is just £5 - for that you get to take part in show-week, enjoy vrious social events and vote at our AGM.
If you want to find out more, or have any quieries, please email a member of the committee - we are always happy to help!
