The Insight Team are a team of data and research professionals who work to make sure that the SU is working in the best interest of students. To meet our goal of making sure that all of our departments and officers have the best possible data and information available to them, we design web sites, surveys, and many other research projects.
The SU Insight Team are currently made up of:
Sam Nichols MMRS - Customer Insight Manager.
Sam manages the department and conducts research on a wide range of areas including charity evaluation and measurement and course and academic development.
Tim Cosham - Data Analyst.
Tim handles all data related to our commercial businesses, including managing the Mystery Shopper programme. He also handles collation of much of the SU's key performance data and analyses departmental level data.
Ria Bluck MMRS - Market Researcher.
Ria leads market research projects on behalf of many of the SU's departments and deals with much of the day-to-day market research of the SU. Recent research includes work on student wellbeing, sustainability and road safety.
Luke Wale - Web Developer. Luke is the Union's web developer and develops much of the site's design and function. Luke also leads on much of the analytics function of the site.
The department also employs student staff to deliver our work.
The SU Insight Team is based in CM04 of the Portland Building (take the stairs up near SU Advice): our working hours are 8am until 5pm from Monday to Friday.
