Postgraduate Student Network

The Postgraduate Students Association (PGSA) is the representative body for all postgraduate students at the University of Nottingham.  All postgraduates are automatically members, there is no need to sign up, and you will automatically receive our updates to your university email.

Throughout the year, the PGSA plans trips, nights out, activities, pub quizzes, sports socials and much, much more to help make your time here at Nottingham as rewarding as possible.  We try to make these as inclusive as possible- if you have any ideas, send them round and we’ll try our best to plan them!

All this fun is planned by the PGSA Committee, which meets monthly to put together an exciting calendar of events.  Any student can attend these meetings; just email the Postgrad Officer if you’d like to know when the dates and times are.

Also to represent you are Postgraduate Education Representatives, there is one for taught and one for research.  They are your representatives in the Education Network who you can go to regarding problems with your course.  Many courses also have Course Reps.  Check out the Education Network for more information.

Check out the tabs on the left for more info about the Exec Committee and the events we’re having this term- we look forward to seeing you and it’s easy to just jump into whatever you can come to!  The best place to keep up to date with our events is the like our Facebook page or follow Laura on Twitter @UoNSU_Postgrad

If you have any questions about any part of being a postgraduate at the University of Nottingham, your full time Postgraduate Officer is available to answer any queries you could possibly have.  She is based in the Exec office on C Floor of Portland building and is usually available from 9 to 5.  If you want to meet with her or ask her about anything, email Laura at and she’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
