The Tuesday Night Project is a welcome group for asylum seekers and refugees in Nottingham. It was set up by STAR Society (Student Action for Refugees) and is run by students.

STAR volunteers help at the conversational English Class every Tuesday to help Refugees improve their communication skills, increase their confidence and help them settle into life in Nottingham. STAR volunteers can either act as classroom assistants or can teach basic English to individuals and encourage them to get involved in activities, language games and conversation.

Come and join STAR at the volunteering session on Tuesday to help support the English class, find out more and have a go at volunteering and you can even see if it is right for you to volunteer on a regular basis. Volunteers do not need to have an experience of teaching English to participate.
