Nottingham Marrow have absolutely bossed it during the first two months of term! They’ve managed to sign up a whopping 453 people to the stem cell register already! 1 in 100 sign ups go on to donate, so that’s 4 potentially life-saving donations already!!
Marrow have also raised £424 this term for Anthony Nolan, their partner charity, and have been nominated as Marrow Group of the Year! Their incredible achievements have all been done with their new committee only having been in office for two months!
Marrow highlights from this term so far:
Promoted during Welcome Week at three Fresher’s Fairs (University Park, Derby Hospital and QMC Medical School)
MARROW20 – their largest scale donor recruitment day to date! Resulted in 361 sign ups to the stem cell register, with 22% being BAME (black, Asian and minority ethnic)
National Marrow Conference
LGBT+ Glitter/Glowsticks – sold glowsticks and glitter to the members of the LGBT+ network at their first social
Derby Halls Donor Recruitment
MARROWEEN – signed up 51 people in George Green library
