Sarah Gosling, CEO of the Students’ Union, will be leaving on Tuesday 31 July. After six great years in the role she has decided to take a new challenge supporting charitable organisations.
Sarah has led a five-year transformative strategy for the Union to put students firmly at the heart of what the Union does, and has had great success with the Union achieving ‘Very Good’ in the NUS Quality Mark last year.
Sarah has been instrumental in creating our next five year strategy and leaves us with an exciting vision and plan to move the Union into a new era.
Sarah said: “It has been an amazing journey. I have loved watching the work of the Union grow and develop at an incredible rate. The redevelopment of the Portland Building is the externally visible signal of how the Union has changed but for me the thing I love most is the way student groups have opened opportunities for others to get involved, the growing support that’s available to students and the influence students can have on making change. The Union is not just at University Park, we are at all the campuses and have a huge online connection, and what comes next will be exciting.”
While we’re recruiting a new CEO, the Union is preparing to welcome students in September and the year ahead. In the autumn term we’ll have more news to share on the new strategy and the CEO appointment.
All the Officers, Board of Trustees and staff would like to thank Sarah for her passion and determination in creating an amazing Union for students.
