If you're interested in running in one of our upcoming Students' Union Officer elections but want to find out more about the positions and how it all works, then come along to Candidate Academy on Saturday 30th January 2016!*
Here, you'll be able to find out all you need and want to know about the different full-time and part-time elected Officer roles and how they fit into and lead the Students' Union more generally, learn all the key dates and facts about the elections, and pose all of your own questions to the current Officers and experienced SU support staff. There'll also be an opportunity to hear about current insight into University of Nottingham student views and opinions from professional researchers, as well as a session on engaging students to help you to transform and build upon that insight to form an effective and unique manifesto.
Any and all University of Nottingham students can and are welcome to come along to Candidate Academy - you don't need to have any prior knowledge of the positions, elections, or even the Students' Union, and there's no commitment to nominating yourself as a candidate by attending.
Candidate Academy 2016 is taking place at 10am-4pm on Saturday 30th January 2016 in the Studio, Portland Building, University Park Campus. Please sign up below to let us know that you're planning to attend. Lunch and refreshments throughout the day will be provided - please let us know if you have any dietary or access requirements by emailing email@example.com after you have signed up below.
*Can't make it to candidate academy? Don't worry - attending Candidate Academy is not a requirement for running in an election. We'll also be uploading the candidate pack to this page after Candidate Academy has taken place, so everyone will be able to access the same key information. You can also have a chat with one of the Representation Development staff team to ask any questions that you might have by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
