Let's fight cancer with fencing! A team sabre competition in memory of Adam.
This is a team sabre competition in memory of former club member Adam Van Cleef, who recently passed away from cancer. He was a massive part of the club and it seems only right to honour him by holding a competition in his weapon. He was also a great team player so we have decided to make it a team event.
All entry fees will go to Cancer Research UK. This charity carries out lifesaving research and helps to fund care for cancer sufferers. Adam and his family personally raised over £30,000 for the charity and we'd like to contribute to that as well.
Teams can have 3 or 4 people and the entry charge is £15 per person. The men's competition will be in the morning and the women's competition will be in the afternoon. It will be held in the salle at David Ross Sports Centre at the University of Nottingham.
Please keep tabs on our facebook event page as we will be posting more details there soon.
