Date: Sunday 25 November 2018
Time: 7:30am - 9:30am
Location: The Great Hall, Trent Building
The Wind Orchestra Autumn Concert promises to deliver a high standard of playing and some fun rhythmical pieces, all of which are dances. This concert will also showcase our student conductor Peter Dunn. Come along for an evening of great music!
The University of Nottingham's Wind Orchestra is performing a selection of dance works, all of which challenge the bands rhythmically playing. Expect to hear works such as: Lenaert's Elegia, William's Olympic Fanfare and Theme, Holst's Dances from the Morning of the Year, Carroll's Winter Dances and Ellerby's New World Dances. Our student conductor Peter Dunn will be conducting the beautiful Elegia, and we have our usual conductor George Morton back on the podium to conduct the rest of the concert.
Tickets are £4 for concessions (including students) and £6 for adults! Refreshments will be provided during the interval, so expected to be munching on some delicious cakes and biscuits too!
We look forward to seeing you on the 25th November!
