This is the election for the ESJ Network Committee for the academic year 2018/19. It is recommended that you only nominate yourself for one position on the committee.

Environment & Social Justice Chair

The ESJ Chair shall be responsible for directing, organising and maintaining the internal structure of the Network, and shall consequently be responsible for ensuring that decisions to this effect are implemented and respected by the Committee. Chair shall chair meetings of the Committee and where appropriate, of the Network. The Chair shall deputise for the Officer in the event of incapacity. The Chair shall take minutes of meetings, call all meetings and shall be the Returning Officer for the

JCR Coordinator (2 places)

The JCR Coordinators shall be responsible for facilitating and monitoring ESJ JCR Reps in halls of residence, particularly the implementation of ESJ-based initiatives within halls.

Shall be responsible for facilitating and monitoring
‘Campaigns’ JCR reps (the replacement for the ESJ
JCR position) in halls of residence, particularly the
implementation of ESJ-based initiatives within halls.
They will work with the lead Campaigns JCR Rep (a
separate elected position who is a former JCR
member).

Publicity Officer

The Publicity Officer shall be responsible for assisting Network members in the promotion and publicity of their events and/or campaigns; shall monitor and regularly update the ESJ Network’s website and social media accounts; shall be responsible for the creation of any flyers, posters, or other promotional materials.

Society Coordinator (2 places)

The Society Coordinators shall be responsible for monitoring and facilitating the campaigns and initiatives of Network members; shall be responsible for maintaining communication with the Network members.

Volunteering Coordinator

The Volunteering Coordinator shall be responsible for assisting Network member’s volunteering initiatives; shall help Network members recruit volunteers for their events.
