Union Council
Students' Union Council is the highest representative decision making and policy setting body of the Students’ Union.
It’s made up of representatives from all sorts of student groups including undergraduates, postgraduates, JCRs, associations and student-run services.
Council decides on Union policy, mandates people to put policies into action and ensures the elected officers are representing students effectively.
Everyone’s welcome at Union Council meetings and anyone can propose policy or hold an elected officer to account.
For more information on how to submit an item of business or to find out how to get involved with Union Council contact Ollie Kasper, Campaigns and Democracy Coordinator.
What does it do?
Union Council mandates the Union by setting policies, campaign priorities and giving all students the chance to hold elected officers to account on behalf of the students at University of Nottingham.
