At Nottingham we have a strong history of projects, which range from rocket stoves to wind turbines, biodiesel to water filters.
You don't have to be an engineering student to join so if you want to do something fun and practical, then GET INVOLVED!
Last year's activities included:
· A Wind Turbine Workshop
· A GSI Mapping Workshop
· Alternative Fuels Workshop – Banana Briquettes
· Professional Speakers
· Trip to the Centre of Alternative Energy in Wales
And this year we are going to be packing in loads more, so watch this space!
Engineers Without Borders – UK runs loads of training events that you can get involved with. Signing up to EWB – Nottingham will mean that you are kept up to date with any opportunities to attend events run by EWB-UK across the country.
EWB-UK also runs 3, 6 and 12 month placements which give you the chance to go out into the developing world and use your engineering skills to improve the quality of life of the many communities living in poverty.
