Engineers Without Borders - Nottingham

Welcome!

Engineers Without Borders Nottingham is one branch of a nationwide charity which aims to promote awareness of development issues in an engineering context.

What we do?

At Nottingham we have a strong history of projects, which range from rocket stoves to wind turbines, biodiesel to water filters.

You don't have to be an engineering student to join so if you want to do something fun and practical, then GET INVOLVED!

Last year's activities included:

·       A Wind Turbine Workshop

·       A GSI Mapping Workshop

·       Alternative Fuels Workshop – Banana   Briquettes

·       Professional Speakers

·       Trip to the Centre of Alternative Energy in Wales

And this year we are going to be packing in loads more, so watch this space!

EWB-UK also runs 3, 6 and 12 month placements which give you the chance to go out into the developing world and use your engineering skills to improve the quality of life of the many communities living in poverty.
