Vet Ball
The annual ball and awards ceremony is the highlight of the Vet Soc social calendar. The evening includes champagne reception at the Vet School, transport to and from the venue, 3 course meal, speeches and awards, live band and DJ. Discounts on tickets for Vet Soc members. Socials
Vet Soc runs a range of socials to allow our members to get together to unwind and have fun away from the Vet School.
Highlights of last years social calendar included:
Vet Soc does moonshine – think a Thai full moon party complete with neon paint
- Vet Soc Foam Party – In conjunction with SB Ents see the SB bar as you’ve never seen it before – under a layer of foam! PLUS Vet Soc Member exclusive Cocktail Party prior to the foam!
- Salsa & Casino Evening – Vet Soc members put on their dancing shoes for a Salsa lesson followed by a casino evening . A 2 course meal and transport were included for the bargain price of £2 to Vet Soc members!
- Movie Night – A great way to chill out and catch up with other members is our movie night – complete with Cinema snacks and FREE to Vet Soc Members
Vet Revue
The Vet Schools annual satire production put on by members of the 3rd year and supported by Vet Soc. A not to be missed event!
Halfway Weekend
Halfway weekend is a Notts Vet School tradition to celebrate reaching the halfway point of your veterinary training. The format for the weekend is determined by the organising committee and in the past has included outdoor pursuits, formal dinners and karaoke! The weekend marks a real milestone and is certainly a weekend to remember. Discount tickets are available to Vet Soc members only!
Freshers
Freshers week is sure to be jam packed with events organised by the week one team. Vet Soc’s Wild Wild West themed Caliedh is an annual fixture of both SB freshers and returners weeks and is a great way for freshers and returners to get acquainted. Check out some photos from last years event!
If hitting the town every night isn’t for you but you don’t want to miss out on a chance to meet new people then come on down to the Vet Soc Mid Week Movie Night. A great way to meet other members of Vet Soc and a chance to recharge your batteries for the latter half of the week.
Freshers should also look forward to the Vet Soc Welcome Party – our little way of making you feel a real member of the Vet School family. An fun packed afternoon of challenges followed by the soon to be legendary SB-araoke!
