NUTS is an award winning student television station within the University or Nottingham Students’ Union. As a student run service (SRS) the excitement of University life is brought to students by students.
We film content for four channels: Culture, Entertainment, News and Sport. Check the shows out on www.nutsonline.org as there is something there for everyone. Also, as an international SRS, we provided content from the China Campus in Ningbo.
NUTS provides coverage of all the major events that are of interest to students, from Week One to SU elections, to Varsity between Uni and Trent. With Europe's largest student music festival occurring here in Nottingham, NUTS has had the opportunity to interview top artists, such as Example, and film performances by Feeder, N-Dubz and many more. There will always be a NUTS crew there to film the excitement.
This year, NUTS starts with the largest Week One coverage we have ever attempted. For the entire week NUTS will be producing two live shows a day and will be covering all the action during both the days and the nights. Be sure to check it out, as what you might not remember, we will have caught it on camera!
As well as filming regular news reports the News Channel focuses on SU elections, with this being another major event in the NUTS calender. Each year we provide in depth coverage of all the candidates campaigns, ensuring that you are able to make an informed decision when it comes to voting.
The Sports Channel has a heavy focus on the Nottingham Uni V Trent Varsity Series.
Last year we had over 300 members and won several National Student Television awards for presenting, marketing, and drama.
There are so many opportunities for you to get involved, from being a presenter to working behind the camera. You never know, you could produce your very own show that could win a NaSTA award!!
Not only are we a team dedicated to producing top quality shows, there is an opportunity to make some incredible friends.
