We are the University’s award-winning radio station, broadcasting 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, on 1350AM and online at urn1350.net. As soon as you arrive on Sunday 20th September, we’ll be there, out and about broadcasting our move-in show between 11pm-5pm on one of the busiest days of the year; why not listen in while you’re unpacking, and hear what’s going on all over campus?
Everyday during Week One, URN will be broadcasting our Daily Address at 11am; this is the only place you can hear what events are planned for the upcoming day and which party your hall will be attending that evening, including the transport arrangements, timings and locations- vital, we think you’ll agree- and all perfectly timed for you to wake up to.
Alongside this, we are also running our Any Questions Answered feature, where at anytime during the week you can get any query you have about starting life at University answered on air by texting in, either through a free webtext on the website, or on 07762212434. Each year we answer hundreds of inquiries, from the best place to get food on campus to how to get into town.
Look our for our stall at Freshers’ Fayre, which runs Tuesday 23rd September to Thursday 25th, 10am-4pm, either if you want to get involved or just want to find out who’s playing all the music, (we’ll be the ones in the white t-shirts with the URN logo on).
On Thursday 24th September, listen to URN as we exclusively reveal the line-up of Sunday’s Week One Party, possibly the highlight of Week One events; expect big names and a great night out.
