Nominations are now open for the NUS Delegate elections 2009! If you’d like to attend the NUS’s Annual Conference in April and have an effect on BIG national issues like university fees and student debt, you’ve got until 12pm on Wednesday 4th November to get your nomination form in.
The NUS (National Union of Students) is the national body that represents students in the UK. The NUS Annual Conference is the time when ordinary students like you vote to decide on the direction that the NUS will take over the year. Candidates for the National Executive Committee are either elected or re-elected at the Annual Conference too.
The University of Nottingham will be sending 9 Delegates to the Conference to represent the views of their fellow students. You could be one of them.
- Make a difference to the lives of all 5.2 million students in the UK at the NUS Annual Conference in Newcastle
- Influence decisions on national issues like tuition fees
- Ensure NUS is campaigning for what Nottingham Students want and need
- Get experience of large scale conferences and democratic events.
