Committee members needed
Some of the Students’ Union’s Representational Associations and Networks are looking for new Committee members. Our Representational Associations and Networks are there to ensure that every student’s needs are taken into account by the University, the Students’ Union and the wider community. The PGSA (Postgraduate Students’ Association), the Mature Students’ Network and the Women’s Network are all looking for people to help out.
PGSA
2 x Faculty Coordinators - One is needed for Arts and another for Engineering.
All postgraduate students are members of the PGSA.
Mature Students’ Network
General Secretary - Responsible for the administration of the Network and generally lending a hand when other committee members need it.
Campaigns Officer - Identify and develop campaigns relevant to the Network’s aims.
Publicity Officer - Responsible for advertising the Network (including the Network website) and working with the other committee members to advertise their work.
Welfare Officer - Develop the welfare system for mature students.
Events Officer - Organise events and socials.
All students who were 21 or over when they started their undergraduate studies or 25 or over when they started their postgraduate studies are part of the Mature Students’ Network.
Women’s Network
2 x Campaigns Officers – Head up campaigns and awareness weeks.
Social Secretary – organise social events, hopefully several per term!
General Committee Member – A very flexible role, helping out in all areas of the Women’s Network.
All female students are members of the Women’s Network.
