Societies Ball took place on Friday 4th May at the Britannia Hotel in Nottingham, and once again it was an outstanding evening showing how talented your Students’ Union societies really are!
2011-2012 has been a great year for societies. Many awards have been won, new and adventurous trips have been implemented and we’ve managed to get considerably more people involved in the society body than ever before. Over 14,300 in fact!
As well as celebrating all these fantastic achievements, there was also a chance for societies to showcase what they are really good at; with performances from Magic Soc, Latin and Ballroom Society, Dance Soc, Moonlighters Big Band (Blow Soc) and Revival Gospel Choir. Music was also provided by DJs from URN, as well as the winner of this year's Notts Got Talent competition, Tiger Blood, and 2011 competitor, Elias.

Those students who have made an outstanding contribution to their society this year were also presented with Individual Awards.
