The Dunkirk and Lenton Community Festival is a part of the local landscape; go down to the Recreation Ground on Saturday 16th June and get involved in a fun day out!
The Festival is a great opportunity to get together with friends in a beautiful park and listen to music, eat fantastic food and get involved in activities including gladiator duelling, henna art and rowing competitions. This year you can try out martial arts, have a go at bell ringing, and bring your bike for minor repairs by Dr Bike. Have a game of bowls, take part in sports, browse stalls or just sit down and soak up the atmosphere.
Your Student Volunteer Centre (SVC) will also be there, making Olympic style crafts! If you’d like to help them on the day get in touch
They’re looking for all residents to celebrate life in the community; that means students as well! You can also find out about opportunities, services and facilities you have not yet discovered, so come along on Saturday 16th June to Lenton Recreation Ground (alongside Derby Road and Church Street) from 1pm-5pm and see for yourself. And don’t forget it’s all free!
